Being good at Ping Pong finally paid off haha. Just got home from my 96 day road trip and picked up my free Channel Islands surfboard!!! @csershon and I got second place out of 32 gnarly teams in the Skullcandy Doubles Up Ping Pong tournament a few months back!! Thanks #Skullcany and #Transworld for the epic event!
We spent 10 days in Greece for a secret GoPro #Hero5 shoot a few months ago. Here is a BTS shot of me photographing @chelseakauai during our first day in the water. Head over to @GoPro today to see more of our images from the trip and what new camera settings I used! Photo by: @fischi666. @matuseinc @suunto @goalzero @spl_waterhousing
It's officially fall and I'm excited to be heading back to the East Coast next week to road trip through New York and Vermont with @chelseakauai. If you have any "must see" spots let us know. We're hoping for 2 weeks of camping, waterfalls, hikes, fall foliage, etc. This shot is from my last trip over there exploring the back roads of Vermont. @optcorp @goalzero @clifbarcompany
Currently summiting peaks, running through afternoon hail storms, swimming in crystal clear lakes, wandering through fields of wild flowers and sleeping among grizzly bears in Glacier National Park with @Chelseakauai. Image shot with @gopro. Also, head over to @redbulletin this week to follow my takeover as I share my favorite images from over 2 years on the road!
There is an extremely old home video my parents have of me trying to walk across a log (on the ground) when I was about 8 yrs old. I couldn't even take a few steps without falling and we'd all laugh. My dad also tells a story of teaching me how to swing on a swing set and concluding that I couldn't be his son because of my apparent lack of coordination lol. I'd like to openly admit that I have never viewed myself as being very talented, (even with photography) but one of the greatest assets that has helped me so far, is my ridiculous passion and dedication to work. And I'm not just talking about a job, though that is obviously important, but also the exertion of energy to accomplish something, either physically or mentally. I'll also be the first to admit I still have a lot to learn... But I'll keep taking those steps forward, even when I fall! Self-portrait from my first highline crossing a few years back after a week of falling and being so sore and bruised I could barely walk. #livepassionately #followyourdreams
Last night we sat by the lake until the fire went completely out. Idaho has become one of @chelseakauai and my favorite states, there are so many hidden gems here! Check out my Live Story today as I jump on a small two person plane to explore Northern Idaho from above. Priest Lake, Idaho. @visitIdaho
My goal had always been to explore my own backyard before setting off to distant places. I spent over 3 years traveling extensively through the United States, exploring, documenting and learning as much as I could. I don't think I'll ever get sick of traveling through the US, and I know I could never witness all the incredible beauty it holds! But traveling to different countries and experiencing what they have in their backyard has only grown my appreciation and respect for people and places everywhere. Get out there! Mt. 2 years ago today my parents and I finished backpacking the John Muir Trail. 210 miles over a 17 day period. We faced bear encounters, lightning storms, rain, snow and 50+ mph winds along the way. Believe it or not I was only getting a small taste of what they are passionate about. They have completed this trail multiple times and also did the entire Pacific Crest Trail just a few years prior. I couldn't have asked for two better people to share the experience with! #GetOutThere
Our 3 weeks in beautiful Belize are coming to an end. There are just too many incredible experiences to fit into 15 seconds. Big thank you to @TravelBelize, @GoPro and @GoalZero for making these awesome adventures possible! And of course, to @howiwishiwasafish for introducing me to a saltier lifestyle under the waves. #GetOutStayOut #DiscoverHowToBe Video shot with #GoPro #Hero4.
